Following a meeting with President Joseph Aoun, Barrack described the discussions as “very satisfactory” and noted his appreciation for what he called Lebanon’s “balanced response.”

Barrack emphasized that the United States does not intend to impose directives on Lebanon regarding its approach to Hezbollah.
Instead, he clarified that the US aims to adopt a position of encouragement and backing rather than enforcement.
