Israel Reports Military Casualties Amid Regional Fighting

(MENAFN) The Israeli military reported on Wednesday that ten soldiers have been killed and 309 others wounded since the outbreak of hostilities involving Lebanon and Iran.

Army data indicates that all ten fatalities occurred in southern Lebanon since March 2. The figures also show that 309 soldiers were injured in the conflict with Iran since February 28, with 23 classified as seriously wounded and 55 as moderately injured.

Military records further reveal that 935 Israeli soldiers have been killed and 6,424 injured since the start of the Gaza conflict in October 2023.

Regional tensions have intensified following a joint US-Israeli offensive on Iran launched on February 28, which has reportedly resulted in over 1,340 deaths, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Tehran has responded with drone and missile strikes aimed at Israel as well as at Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf states hosting US military installations.

Israel’s Health Ministry reported that at least 6,286 people have been injured since the beginning of the war with Iran. While official death tolls have not been provided, estimates from Israel’s Institute for National Security Studies suggest that 29 people have been killed in the ongoing conflict.
